Electric ovens and cookers combine high temperatures, substantial electrical loads, elements, fans, thermal protection, internal wiring, control boards and sometimes induction electronics. Built-in access and fixed connections can also affect the required work scope.

Not every technician needs one universal credential, and not every repair is building-control work. Gas-side work remains separate: it requires appropriate Gas Safe registration and cooker-category competence and is not covered by this electric service page. eServ does not currently claim to verify either capability.

When repair is not the right outcome

Electrical or severe heat damage, structural failure, unavailable parts, repeated faults, unreliable controls, major electronic failure, poor condition or weak repair economics can make replacement more appropriate. An official corrective-action route should be followed where applicable.
